The Shadow File (Bryson Wilde Thriller 2) ReviewHaving met and loved PI Wickert Ttripp in Jagger's first noir book, The Scroll Lawyers, I was delighted to see him return in The Shadow Files. I was equally delighted to see the feisty, over-sexed Alabama back at his side. The book itself was nothing short of amazing. In one chapter you're in a ragged roadside bar where a Navajao woman is abducted and in the next you're in the cold war espionage underworld of Cuba. Then there is Fallon, a young woman working as a waitress in Santa Fe who steals a car on the spur of the moment and heads to Denver to start a new life. Jagger is the only author I know who can create such diverse story lines, mold them together seamlessly and then bring all of them to an intertwined ending that is no only climatic but absolutely unpredictable.
